We are so lucky to be part of a community that encourages small businesses and entrepreneurs to follow their passion. The result? So many unique business concepts and so many fun places for fashion enthusiasts like myself to explore.
Today, I’ve rounded up some local boutiques and stores you have to check out in 2015. Some old, some new, all part of what makes shopping in NEO so special! So, grab that cup of coffee and let’s get started…
2242 Professor Avenue, Tremont + a new store coming soon!
It’s the perfect mix of housewares, gifts, jewelry and clothing all at an affordable price. They also carry local designers and so you can always find something made with a little Cleveland love.
15725 Madison Avenue, Lakewood
You know how hard it is when you are trying to buy a gift for someone who has everything? Girl’s Best Trend is my solution for that. It’s a collection of all sorts of things made by local artists. Looking for a hostess gift? They have the best assortment of cutting boards, candles and other entertaining essentials. Friend who loves to work out? Ohio running and yoga t-shirts to the rescue.
2078 W. 25th Street, Ohio City
The space itself is so cool – think lots of wood, mixed metals and pops of color. Paper goods, clothing, jewelry, housewares, you will literally find it all at Room Service. And, I guarantee what you see in there will be totally unique and unlike anything else in NEO.
1977 East Maple Street, North Canton
From jewelry to clothing to accessories, you can walk into Mainsteam Boutique and leave with an entire, stylish outfit. All without breaking the bank! Looking to try the latest trend? Pattern mixing, jogger pants, blanket scarves? Mainstream can most likely hook you up.
2621 Lorain Ave, Ohio City
Each piece is hand picked by the owners and purchased in small quantities so you can be sure you won’t be wearing the same thing as every other girl in NEO. They have a fabulous shoe section…my weakness.
Valerie Mayen, Project Runway alum, is the shop’s owner. I feel like that is reason enough to check it out. Plus, Yellowcake shop and Valerie put on one of the coolest Cleveland events of the year, Hullabaloo. Seriously, check it out.
Brigade is my go-to when I’m looking to treat myself to something extra special. They carry a lot of upscale designer brands and so it’s perfect for those investment pieces – denim, sweaters, classic shoes, etc. The associates will give you honest opinions on what looks good on you, something I really value when I am investing in a piece that I’ll have for awhile. Oh, and they have a bar. Like an actual bar. In the store. Cheers to that!
Alright fashionistas, I’d love to hear from you. What other local Cleveland stores and boutiques should be on this list?
