The days are getting shorter and the air is getting crisp; fall is here! Thankfully there are many family friendly things to do in Northeast Ohio during the fall season.
Here are some of the fun fall traditions that our family enjoys each year.
During the late summer months, each time we drove by our local apple orchard, we all eagerly looked out the windows to check on the status of the apples growing on the trees. It’s then that we begin to anticipate our annual trip to the orchard.
Whether picking only a handful of apples or enough to fill a bushel, the experience is well worth the trip. Check out this listing of Northeast Ohio Apple Orchards to find one near you!
Pumpkin Patches, Hayrides, Corn Mazes, and more! To our family, nothing represents fall more than the fun activities held at local pumpkin farms. During the months of September and October, the local farms are bustling with activity and offer a wide variety of fun options for families.
Each year we set out to explore a new-to-us farm. Doing this allows us to support multiple area farmers, have new experiences, and reminisce about the fun we had during previous years.

Geocaching is a fun-filled, outdoor scavenger hunt. All that is needed is a GPS device or a GPS-enabled mobile phone and a sense of adventure. Visit the Geocaching Website to learn more about how the sport works.
While caches can be hidden anywhere, to get the full experience and to best enjoy the great outdoors, our family recommends searching for the ones hidden in the Northeast Ohio area parks:
