Immediately Tommy’s on Coventry came to mind. And I couldn’t shake the thought of venturing out to Coventry the following Sunday to not only grab a shake, but also see what’s new in one of the region’s happiest and hippest neighborhoods.
Coventry Village lives in the area between Mayfield road and Euclid road on Coventry in the city of Cleveland Heights. One of Cleveland Heights’s most popular attractions is the small, walk-able business district, which is well known for its incredible night life and live-music scene but is also a fabulous place to take the family for fun and educational opportunities as well. Allow me to walk you though a very fun day in Coventry Village:
Tommy’s, whose Coventry location turned 45 just a few weeks ago, is a local favorite. Known for its milkshakes and home to vegans, vegetarians and carnivores alike, Tommy’s makes the people with even the most annoying dietary restrictions feel right at home.
The Coventry staple boasts a specialty menu that may seem a little random at first glance until you realize, everything on it is a house favorite. Whatever you order, expect it to be the best version of that thing you’ve ever had. My husband, my son, my cousin, Ryan, and I dug into the spiked hummus, which I was too excited to eat that I forgot to take a photo.
Locally owned and operated, Big Fun is a toy store experience like no other. From classic trinkets that take you back 20, 30, 50 years, to action figures, and board games, you’ll have no choice but to feel like a kid again at Big Fun.
This Sunday was even more special as one of the store’s employees showcased some super cool bubble tricks, perfectly fit for my 3-year old (and ok… the 30-somethings didn’t mind it either). Whether you’re shopping for a kid’s birthday, a Valentine, a gag gift or party supplies, Big Fun is jam-packed with only the coolest, most special items ever.
If you’re into super fun, immersive experiences, Cleveland Candle Co. is right for you. Upon walking in, I had no idea what to expect, but my cousin Ryan, a store regular introduced me to the local favorite with a sensational flair. If you hadn’t had enough reminiscing at Big Fun, be prepared to take a journey back in time with scents at Cleveland Candle. From fruity pebble scents to cotton candy and sugar cookie, digging into this Candle Store is a treat for all of your senses.
Piccadilly is s super cute and incredibly tasty frozen yogurt option. The local chain boasts local and vegan yogurt customers. The yogurt was totally awesome and the service was A+.
From tasty treats to timeless toys, you can find fun for the whole family on Coventry. Coventry is the perfect place to stop by, or spend the whole day exploring, there’s never a dull moment. Stay up-to-date with all of Coventry’s best events here.
