Rachel Schlather is a born and raised Clevelander blogging over at CLEfashionista.com about all things fashion and NEO.
Rachel works at Rosenberg Advertising in Lakewood doing digital marketing. When she isn’t working or blogging, she is spending time with her husband, family & puppy, drinking lots of wine, hanging out at the library and exploring all of what Cleveland has to offer.
A couple of her favorite places in NEO include Marblehead (she visits every weekend in the summer), the West Side Market and her house in Strongsville.
Hi, I’m Rachel, blogger at CLEfashionista! I love 1,000,000 things about Northeast Ohio but after much debate I was finally able to narrow it down to 10:
There’s nothing like heading up to the lake on a weekend in the summer. I go up almost every weekend with my family and it feels like a mini vacation every single time.
OBVIOUSLY. We are known for our amazing chefs and unique food scene. From food trucks to fancy dining, I absolutely love it all.
Have you ever met anyone who lives in NEO and hates it?! I haven’t. Everyone is proud to be from here or live here and it shows!
Nothing beats shopping for local, fresh produce at The West Side Market. This place is such a gem and a cool part of NEO’s history!
Everything is so close and easy to get to. I love that all of my favorite neighborhoods and areas are just a short drive away. I also love that I can live in the suburbs and still be a 15 minute drive from downtown Cleveland.
From the breweries in Ohio City to the wineries up at the Islands, it’s cool to know you are drinking something that was locally made.
Literally everywhere you go in NEO, you will find entrepreneurs running amazing local businesses. Shopping local is easy and fun!
Everyone in NEO is so nice. It’s refreshing and unfortunately, unlike a lot of other cities I have visited.
I grew up in Strongsville and currently live there. My family lives close so it’s definitely one of my favorite places to be.
Going to plays and musicals (with dinner and drinks downtown before of course!) is one of my favorite activities in Northeast Ohio.
